This is my 16th year of working with students with special needs. At West Salem, I work with kindergarten and first grade; I also am the itinerant teacher of the blind and vision impaired for Salem. I graduated from Radford University with a BS in Biology. After working in the medical field for several years, I returned to school and earned a Master’s degree in Special Education from the University of Virgina and completed coursework for an endorsement in visual impairments. I feel very fortunate to be a part of Salem City Schools! I share my home with a black lab mix, a special needs cocker spaniel mix, and a very patient cat. In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, reading, hiking, and attempting DIY projects.
